What is difference between Standard First Aid and Emergency First Aid?

The Emergency First Aid is a one-day course (8 hours), while Standard First Aid happens over two days.

Depending on the need of your employees under WSIB law, that will determine which course is better for you.


What's the difference between Heartsaver and BLS?

BLS is for healthcare providers. This course addresses equipment used in the hospital and it's more hospital focused. This course would also be good for anyone working in dental, physiotherapy and chiropractic offices as well as fitness centres.

Heartsaver is for the general population, daycare providers, CanFitPro re-certification and many other workplace environments.


Will I learn how to use an Automated External Defibrillator?

Yes! All courses have training for using an AED.


Where can I purchase an AED? What kind should I buy?


There are many brands on the market. Licenceing information may be obtained from Health Canada. The Heart & Stroke Foundation outlines some options for AED. Learn more about the AED manufacturers.


What's included in the course fees?

The courses include the following:

  • Training
  • Certification through Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
  • Textbooks (if applicable)
  • Coffee, water and break-time snacks are provided. Lunch is not provided; you can bring your own or we can arrange a catered lunch.


Is my course certification good for the country?

Yes. Your certification covers you for all provinces and territories (across Canada).


Will your courses cover my obligations for WSIB First Aid Training?

Yes, as we can connect with your company to ensure your requirements are met.

How many people can you take for a group training at one time?

If we host the course at our home, then we can take up to 12 people. Alternatively, we can accommodate up to 24 people at one time if it's hosted in a different location.


What payment methods do you take?

We currently accept e-transfers, cash and cheque payments. We will finalize payment details once a booking has been made.
